I planned our destination wedding all through the internet having never been to New Orleans. We were married on the bridge located near the playground with beautiful oak trees surrounding us.
Samantha McGovern conducted a beautiful service, written by us. She was kind enough to bring her husband who videotaped the service for free.

Beautiful Wedding Locations In New Orleans
There are many locations to elope to in New Orleans. You can choose from many romantic and tranquil park settings, the Mississippi River, or the festive and historic French Quarter.
I have been marrying couples in New Orleans for years. My favorite location to perform wedding ceremonies is outside in the French Quarter at a great historic location called Washington Artillery Park.
Jackson Square and the Mississippi River “Moon Walk” are a stone’s throw away, and are great locations as well.
Many of my couples take a horse-drawn carriage ride after the ceremony. It can be very romantic!
New Orleans City Park is another option. It is closer to the French Quarter than Audubon Park. City Park’s lovely sculpture and Botanical Gardens are meticulously groomed.
